Chelmsford Karate is not just about learning karate. It is a place of friendship. A place to find and meet new friends that share the same interests as you. Chelmsford Karate welcomes anyone who wants to meet new friends and train with like minded people.
We practise traditional Okinawan Goju Ryu, which focuses on effective close-quarters combat. Our instructors are all qualified and certified and have over 120 Years Experience.

Chelmsford Karate is proudly regsitered with the BMABA (British Martial Arts & Boxing Association).

SAFEGUARDING CODE
Chelmsford Karate is recognised by the Safeguarding Code as having a good standard of safeguarding.

Beginner Classes
Our beginner classes are specially designed for students new to martial arts and Karate. We take student from the age of 6 and above.

Childrens Karate
Our Children's Karate Programme was created exclusively for children ages 6 and above. All Grades are Welcome!

Adults Karate
Our Adult Karate Classes provide a great way for adults to stay in shape and learn self defence. There are always challanges that will keep you inspired
Club History
Chelmsford Karate was first started at Springfield Green, Chelmsford in 1984 by Sensei Gary Webber. In 1986 the running of the club was taken over by Sensei Kevin Nason (7th Dan).
