At What Age Can a Child Learn Karate?
We advise that children can start to learn karate at 6 years old. However, our instructors can also advise on younger children starting lessons depending on a variety of factors. If you’d like your child to start training in our kids’ karate classes, don’t hesitate to speak to one of our expert team members who will be able to advise you on the best course forward. We’re always more than happy to see people wanting to get their kids karate classes, and we’ll discuss how your child can benefit from joining our Chelmsford karate studio.
Why is Karate good for Children?
Karate helps in child development, improving both physical and mental health. The key benefits are:
- Confidence & self-esteem: Children who train in Karate are less likely to be bullied.
- Focus and concentration: Your child's education can be enhanced, as your child's focus and concentration increases through karate training.
- Respect, positive attitude and behaviour: Karate teaches your child how to be respectful to others.
- Discipline and perseverance: Your child's school work can be greatly improved by the discipline learned during a karate class.
