KARATE FOR Juniors

Juniors Karate

Chelmsford Karate currently run 4 sessions a week dedicated to the teaching of Karate to Juniors, these sessions are held in the evenings after school and last 1 hour. We normally take Children from 6 years up but this is dependent on the individual child. All classes are run by fully qualified instructors who have many years of experience.

Chelmsford Karate has an active Child Welfare Office - Paula Brooks who can be contacted at the following email address: welfare@chelmsfordkarate.com

Why is Karate good for Children?

Karate helps in child development, improving both physical and mental health. The key benefits are:

  • Confidence & self-esteem: Children who train in Karate are less likely to be bullied.
  • Focus and concentration: Your child's education can be enhanced, as your child's focus and concentration increases through karate training.
  • Respect, positive attitude and behaviour: Karate teaches your child how to be respectful to others.
  • Discipline and perseverance: Your child's school work can be greatly improved by the discipline learned during a karate class.

About Us

We practise traditional Okinawan Goju Ryu, which focuses on effective close-quarters fighting. We enjoy tournaments, but believe that the true heart of karate is self defence.

Our instructors include Police Officers who have used their skills on the streets many times.
