Conditioning the body and mind is an important part of karate. Strengthening the body so that it can perform effectively is great for fitness and knowing what it's like to hit or take a blow prepares you against an attacker.

About Us

We practise traditional Okinawan Goju Ryu, which focuses on effective close-quarters fighting. We enjoy tournaments, but believe that the true heart of karate is self defence.

Our instructors include Police Officers who have used their skills on the streets many times.

  • Training Update

    Unfortunately due to the national lockdown coming into affect on Thursday 5th November both North Avenue and Keene Hall Dojo's have closed its doors and hope to reopen in December. In its place we will be running training sessions online through Zoom. If you are interested in joining get in contact with us or reach out to the clubs Welfare Officer.
