Our History
In 1996 in support of the Club, Keith Bishop (6th Dan) opened his own Dojo at Trent Road, Chelmsford. Sensei Keith was one of Springfield Green Dojo’s first students. This dojo has since moved to North Avenue in Melbourne, Chelmsford.
In 2010 Sensei Bruce Harrison opened a Dojo at the Heritage Centre in Galleywood, with training for kids and adults every Wednesday. This moved to Keene Hall and is currently run by Sensei Kevin Nason. The instructors and students from all Dojo's support each other in a friendly club atmosphere for the benefit of all. Our club’s welcome adults and children, beginner or experienced to learn a traditional martial art that is recognised around the world.
Sadly in June 2020 Sensei Keith passed away and his Dojo was passed down to one of his first students Chris Clayton (4th Dan)
